Gripping throughout, it has a satisfying and jaw-dropping ending' My Weekly'This is not a predictable thriller, I was very surprised by some of the turns. The Flight of Cornelia Blackwood was published in 2019 to critical acclaim, appearing on a number of ‘best of’ lists that year. Whilst her marriage does appear strong and loving, she's never really forgiven herself, or her husband Simon about how their relationship began.

All You Ever Wanted is a dark domestic drama that ticks every single box, with an ending that’ll have you thinking for months. I wasn’t mentally prepared for how much I became emotionally invested in these characters and their complex lives! I have read everything by Susan Elliot Wright and loved all her books, especially The Flight of Cornelia Blackwood. the simple fact that emily hardly even confronted simom about what he did was shocking - i'd be more mad at simon than anna tbh. Susan Elliot Wright is the bestselling author of five novels, including the acclaimed The Flight of Cornelia Blackwood. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. And all I can tell you, without spoilers, that at this point you will not be able to put All You Ever Wanted down. You think you can just drop me when an old friend comes along, then pick me back up again when you feel like it. Brought in an airport on New Year’s Day, I’d didn’t need a gruesome difficult thriller, and I certainly wasn’t given one!

From her husband, to her new friend, to her husband’s ex partner, Emily has a lot to balance, and as we regularly enter her thoughts and feelings, it’s clear she isn’t kind to herself about a lot of things in her life. To round off part one of the book, Emily discovers something really unnerving and unexpected… and before I could think about this further, part two of the book began, which alternated between Emily and Anna’s perspective – it had me super excited for what was to come! As time goes on, Anna seems to know more than she should about Emily, who is having marriage difficulties. Poor Emily seemed to be gaslit by everyone around her, loved her POV when she gradually comes to the realisation that something is not right.Emily does the one thing that could potentially cause trouble if my suspicions about Anna were correct; tells her all about how she and Simon got together, about the issues it caused and how Emily still feels about it all.

When Anna comes into her life she appears to be just what Emily needs - a friend and someone to support her with childcare. Susan cranks up the creep factor in all the right places making this a slow-burning domestic thriller with a deep heart. The contract between Anna and Emily is very interesting and introduces some moral questions for the reader to consider. This was a good read, main character seems to have it all in life but someone is watching and they want what she has, who can she trust especially when she allready seems to suffer from paranoia.I found this to be a gripping and compelling read and I was intrigued to find out if Emily was a reliable narrator. I would definitely be interested in a sequel to this book, but in many ways it was the perfect ending. Yes there was a criminal element but this was more about the characters, the small family whose lives are disrupted by Anna.
