Moisturiser: Butylene glycol, Job’s tears Herbal extracts: White lotus, Angelica Acutilob KOSE Sekkisei White UV Gel swatch. It leaves a greasy-and ash grey finish on my skin. But last year, I had my Hallelujah! moment! I found the sunscreen that I could use daily, that was comfortable and protected my skin, and that didn’t burn a hole in my wallet!

Methyltrimethicone, Zinc Oxide, Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Bytylene Glycol, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, PEG-8 Trifluoropropyl Dimethicone Copolymer, Dimethicone, Aluminium Hydroxide, Trifluoropropyl Dimethiconol, Silica, Dimethicone/PEG-10/15 Crosspolymer, Nylon-12, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimenthicone Crosspolymer, Dipentaerythrityl Tripolyhydroxystearate, BHT, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Collagen Kanebo Allie Extra UV Perfect sunscreen or Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV sunscreen The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items. Pros: Very waterproof; Transfer-proof; Long-wearing; Weightless feel; Easy-to-blend; Wears well under makeup; Eco-friendly formula ALLIE Nuance Change Tone Up UV Gel Sunscreen (Rose Chaire) is very similar in formulation and texture to ALLIE Extra UV Gel. The pink colour of this sunscreen gives my skin a natural rosy glow which I really like. It’s a very affordable dupe for my Suqqu sunscreen that’s been discontinued. I use this for most everyday situations like work and home.If the amount used is too small, sufficient UV protection cannot be obtained. To maintain the effect, please apply it repeatedly. (especially after wiping the skin with a towel or the like) I do find that it makes a good makeup base as well, which is great for me, because I don’t use primer otherwise. This seems to keep my makeup in place and doesn’t react with it at all. If you’re familiar with the formula for the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen, this one is more runny but it feels the same on skin. SUPERGOOP! is a cult favourite beauty brand from the US. Not to be confused with the Goop brand founded by Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, SUPERGOOP! was the brainchild of Holly Thaggard, a sunscreen advocate. It's a new generation sunscreen agent that was specifically designed for high SPF and good UVA protectionand based on a 2007 study that compared 18 sunscreen agents available in the EU it really had the best SPF protection(they used the highest concentration allowed by EU regulations from each 18 sunscreens and Trinosorb S gave an SPF 20 all by itself).

BIORE is a drugstore beauty range under Japanese conglomerate, Kao. BIORE is a household name in Singapore and Japan. Since BIORE was introduced in 1980, it has become one of the leaders in the Japanese sunscreen market. I have recently learnt from excited readers and friends, that Allie sunscreens are now available in Malaysia at Watson’s stores and online. As I said, the temptation will be there, to use very little, simply because it spreads just like water all over. Just resist that temptation, and rub in as much product as you can. Not that anyone’s listening 😛 Disclosure: This tube of SUPERGOOP! Mineral Sheer Screen SPF 30 was gifted by a PR company. However, my review and opinions of this product are my own.Happily, or unhappily, I think this is the perfect successor for me, to my long-time favourite, the Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen. The latter has been reformulated this year where the name now states “Multi-Defense” and before you ask, no I have not yet tried it. I know I should, but I am working through other sunscreens I own (I need to before they go off – 2 years shelf life for best efficacy!) and to be honest, I’ve read too many unhappy comments about this new formula – enough to put me off trying. CONS:Not easy to find outside of Japan, Possible white cast on deeper skin tones, Some people complain of it being drying (I don’t), Light fluid texture may result in people using less product

ALLIE’s popularity in Asia really took off in 2019 when the above mentioned experiment in China showed that ALLIE’s sunscreen was one of the better performers in a comparison of popular sunscreens. Overall, I am pleased with the series, having proved what they have claimed. While it is a bummer that the sunscreen formula isn't labelled or assured as friendly for sensitive skin users, I think the series' benefits outweigh the cons. I am very generous with my sunscreen usage, and do not believe in just dotting on product. For proper sun protection, you MUST use enough sunscreen. After much experimenting, this is what I deem ‘enough’. The use of novel ingredients for extra sun protection in HELIOCARE 360º Water Gel gets a thumb up from. The inner chemistry nerd in me approves. May be more suitable for users with fairer skin because of the grey finish. JUNG SAEM MOOL Skin Setting Tone Balancing BaseThe brand’s spirit of innovation has been evident in history. In 1888, toothpaste was first introduced to Japan by SHISEIDO. SHISEIDO also introduced the Rainbow Face Powder to Japan. In an era where face powders were normally white in Japan, the use of 7 different colours to allow users to personalise their cosmetics was ahead of its time.
