Everybody dreams of becoming a superstar YouTube sensation, but for Adam – a penniless, cameraless nobody, with only one friend – it isn't just a dream, it's a COMPLETE AND UTTER, NEVER-GOING-TO-HAPPEN-IN-A-MILLION-YEARS, ABSOLUTE IMPOSSIBILITY ! There are some really comical moments in the book that will make children laugh out loud but also emotional at some points. The cover is really eye-catching and I can see lots of children being drawn to this on my bookshelf. I would recommend this to children around ages 8-12 as I think they will be able to empathise most with the characters and the troubles they face. They will also be most familiar with TV presenter and YouTube personality Adam B himself. I am not usually a huge fan of 'celebrity author' books but this one certainly has a place on my bookshelf. Adam B is a household name. Not only hugely popular online, with videos boasting over half a billion views overall, Adam is also a live television host known for being the 40th presenter on the world's longest running kids TV programme, Blue Peter.

At the start we wondered if this was a true story, but as it moved on after a couple of chapters realised, it was definitely fiction. We think the book would great be for anyone aged perhaps 7 plus, especially if you are a fan of BP or his YouTube channel. This is a children's book. I started reading this with my 10-year-old son, who loves watching Blue Peter. Adam B, the author was a presenter on this show, until recently and is a YouTuber who, my son watches regularly. As I say, we started reading it together until he decided the book was so good, he had to carry on without me, so he didn't have to wait for the rest.
