The photo of the Halb.D.II is covered with bleached linen fabric. The term canvas applies to fabrics which weigh more than 8 oz./sq.yard. Aircraft fabrics weighed in the range of 3.5 to 4.5 oz./sq.yd.

Matt & Satin: 20-40 minutes touch dry and upto 24 hours for hard dry. Drying times will vary according to ambient temperature and humidity. Recoat: 6 hours minimum (preferably over night). Coverage The important thing to remember about mixing RAF Dark Earth based on XF-52, is that when you add Flat White to the mix, the red tones in the XF-52 tend to make the color shift to pink. This can be balanced by mixing in some more XF-3 Flat Yellow. Probably because I don't do a lot of Luftwaffe, I find the correct colours harder to fathom than Sabre wings and quantum mechanics. Tamiya are probably one the most commonly available lines of hobby paints in the US as they are usually carried by R/C hobby shops, and we all know Tamiya is a dominant force in the R/C business.
